A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed – United States Constitution, Amendment II

The right to keep and bear arms is the single most heavily regulated civil liberty we Americans possess. At The Law Office of Derek A. DeBrosse, LLC, we devote a substantial portion of our practice to firearms law issues, and we look forward to helping you exercise your rights to the fullest extent of the law.

Derek currently serves as General Counsel for Ohioans for Concealed Carry, the non-profit that brought Ohio its first concealed carry law, and which has lobbied and litigated for expanded firearms rights in the years since. Derek is a National Rifle Association Life Endowment Member, an NRA-certified firearms instructor, and a GLOCK Armorer.

The people have the right to bear arms for their defense and security; but standing armies, in time of peace, are dangerous to liberty, and shall not be kept up; and the military shall be in strict subordination to the civil power. – Ohio Constitution, Article I, Section IV
